Tasmania Accommodation Guide: Budget-Friendly Airbnb Reviews & Road Trip Stays

Tasmania Accommodation | Airbnb Stays & Review

In our previous Accommodation Recommendations guide, we covered high-rated, great-value hotels across Tasmania. In this post, I want to focus on sharing more affordable lodging options and my personal experience staying in Airbnbs across Tasmania.

When searching for budget accommodation, most backpackers immediately turn to youth hostels. However, Airbnb has also become a hugely popular choice overseas. Essentially, you stay in a private room or house hosted by locals, often at very affordable rates. If you'd like a broader overview of how to find the right stay, check out my Accommodation Booking Sites Guide.

Since we explored Tasmania on a self-drive road trip around the island, we mostly chose stays close to the main highways. Today, I've rounded up 7 honest reviews of Airbnb and Booking accommodations from our road trip to help you plan your itinerary!
